Martha Tilaar Group, a company in the beauty industry, has set a target of training 5,000 women by 2022 to create entrepreneurial opportunities in the community as a sustainable alternative livelihood for women. The initiative also aims to facilitate opportunities for young women to train as spa therapists. This allows young women to support themselves and their families by having their own salon or by working in the hospitality industry. By early 2021, the company has reached the goal of training more than 2,500 women.
